This Broken Soul is a song that plays during the game credits of The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. It was composed by Rebecca Kneubuhl and Gabriel Mann, and sung by Rebecca Kneubuhl herself.

Meaning

The song is meant to represent Spyro's relationship with Ignitus, and how he would feel after having crossed over into Dark Spyro. An instrumental version of this song is played in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, while Ignitus escorts Spyro and Cynder through the Belt of Fire and into the Burned Lands.

• The "Holy Land" and "Ancient Spirit" mentioned in the lyrics may be referring to the series' equivalent of Heaven and God respectively.
• A letimotif of the song plays during the cutscene at the end of Celestial Caves, before being quickly replaced by the level's theme again. Oddly, it plays in a part completed unrelated to the dragon elders, Ignitus included, who would be mentioned sometime later in the scene.
• The song is popular on YouTube. It has spawned many videos, most of them featuring Spyro and Cynder, but it has also found its way in to other themed videos.
