Template:Nogems Template:Characterbox Ripto (リプトー Riputo in Japanese) is a short Dinosaur and one of Spyro's greatest enemies. He wears a cape and uses a scepter to cast magic in battle. He is a persistent enemy of Spyro, appearing in several games. He has two minions, Crush and Gulp, who serve him and carry out his orders.
He was the main villain in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Spyro: Season of Flame, and Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs. He shared this role with Dr. Neo Cortex in Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy.
Biography
A Riptoc who hated Dragons, Ripto had enlisted Crush and Gulp at Molten Crater in order to help him wage war on their race, before he was accidentally warped to Avalar by Hunter. Upon arrival, he set about enslaving the worlds, despite the Superportal being shut down by the quick thinking of Zoe and Elora, who scattered the orbs across Avalar.
Ripto's reign brought disaster to Avalar, and he was eventually defeated by Spyro, who had been summoned by the Professor from a portal in Glimmer. During Ripto's boss battle, he magically created a mechanized version of Gulp and a large mechanical bird for protection.
One year later, Ripto successfully attacked the Dragon Realms, scattering the Dragonflies far and wide. Once again, he was foiled by Spyro during a battle in which he turns into a giant monster..
Later he formed an alliance with Dr. Neo Cortex to destroy Spyro and Crash Bandicoot and take over the world but also their enemies allied and defeated them.
