The Superflame-Superfly Combo is a unique powerup ability introduced in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!. A first for Avalar, this combination powerup was created by the Inventor Droid in Metropolis, where Spyro used the Superflame-Superfly Combo to take down a swarm of Flying Sheep Saucers during the animal farm coup.
The powerup would be later obtained in Ripto's Arena through a special golden orb released by the destruction of Mecha-Gulp. Upon obtaining it, Spyro was given the powerup that allowed him to engage Ripto in the final aerial showdown against Ripto above a lake of molten lava.
The Superflame-Superfly Combo powerup made a reappearance in Spyro: Year of the Dragon in the Fireworks Factory realm. Spyro had to use the combo powerup to fight and defeat the Twin Fire Dragons that were menacing Handel.
