Crystal Islands is a world located in Midnight Mountain from Spyro: Year of the Dragon. The magicians their have stolen some magic from the Sorceress to use for themselves. Unfortunately for them, the magic spells went awry and caused aggravation for the native creatures there along with their environment.
Enemies
Gnomes: Crystal Bears: Blue ursine; due to it's massive size, it can only be defeated using the flame attack. Attacks by leaping into the air and attempting to land on Spyro.
Crystal Trees: Creature made purely of crystal. The Crystal Tree is mainly pink, though has multiple colors mixed in. They are impervious to being rammed, but Spyro's flame can cause them to explode. To defend themselves, they can smash their hand on the ground, creating a blast radius of flame that can harm Spyro if he is too close.
Crystal Beavers: Native to Crystal Islands, the Crystal Beavers look just like ordinary beavers with the addition of wings (similar to a bat's wings) that allow them to fly indefinitely. They can throw projectiles at Spyro. A kill equals a red Gem. A reasonable explanation as to why they have wings is that the land of Crystal Islands holds magicians.
Octopus: Also seen in Seashell Shore, the Octopuses can only be found in pools of water. To defend themselves, they spin wildly, using their arms to harm Spyro.
