Octopi[1] are enemies found in Spyro: Year of the Dragon.They can only be found in pools of water in Seashell Shore and Crystal Islands.
Characteristics
Behavior
To defend themselves, Octopi spin wildly, using their arms to harm Spyro.
Tactics
Spyro can easily defeat them by charging. One is seen holding a native of Seashell Shore hostage. When each Octopus is killed for the first time, they will release a red Gem (Seashell Shore) or a blue one (Crystal Islands). When Spyro kills the Octopus shaking Stanley the Seal in Seashell Shore, he will be rewarded with a Dragon Egg.

Trivia
- There is no possible way to defeat them with flame unless done on land. You can only defeat them with charge underwater.
