Azrael is the prince of the unseen realm of Felinia in Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
Story
Azrael led an invasion in Charmed Ridge with the Cat Wizards in order to (supposedly) force the fairy princess, Ami to marry him. However, it turned out that both Prince Azrael and Princess Ami were truly in love. Ami told Spyro, who came to her rescue, that Azrael wasn't the enemy, explaining the situation to him and gave him a dragon egg to keep their romance a secret from the other fairies and cats. The couple then drove off on a motorbike into the sunset together in the end, to get married.
Trivia
- Azrael's name and appearance are a reference to the cat Azraël from the Belgian comic and animated series, "The Smurfs".
- The epilogue to the original game revealed that Princess Ami apparently left Azrael and competed with Zoe for Sparx the Dragonfly's affections. The epilogue was excluded from the Reignited version.
