The Lions are the residents of Sunny Villa in Spyro: Year of the Dragon, and later Roman City in Spyro: Season of Ice.

Characteristics

Physical Appearance

The male lions are brown and wear green leaf headdresses, as they are meant to resemble Romans. They also have green eyes and wear cream colored togas with gold seals. The female lions, on the other hand, are pink and wear pink flower headresses. They also have somewhat grey eyes, and wear white togas with, also, gold seals.

In the original game, the male lions have German accents, while the female ones have Spanish accents.

Story

Spyro: Year of the Dragon

The lions in Sunny Villa are being terrorized by hordes of Rhynocs, who took over the town and kidnapped Mayor Leo. When Spyro drove off the Rhynocs, Mayor Leo awarded him with one of the town's famous giant chicken eggs, which turned out to be a Dragon Egg.

Spyro: Season of Ice

Here the lions live in Roman City, where they seem to be having problems with the upcoming Fairy Festival. They are all very panicky, although they don't care for the Rhynocs stationed in the city there, aside from how they affect the Fairy Festival.

Trivia

• All the lions' names, except for Marco and Rapunzel, have a purpose: Councillor George, Citizen Paulus, Citizen Horace, and Mayor Leo.
• In the original game, all of the lions resemble teddy bears despite having tails.
• None of the males have manes.
