Template:Youmay Template:PlaceLegend Template:Q Convexity is the final level in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. The environment consists of an endless iridiscent void, with groups of floating platforms to jump from one to the other. A strange, mysterious and slightly creepy voice can be heard in this level calling Spyro's name repeatedly as he gets closer to confronting Cynder. This voice might have been that of Malefor, The Dark Master, as the altar that contained his spirit was nearby when the level took place.

Story

A New Beginning

After gathering all four of the needed crystals, Cynder has finally completed her task of ressurrecting Malefor. But before the gate to Convexity opens, Spyro comes to stop Cynder and battles her in a final showdown. After hearing the voice of Ignitus echo in his head, Spyro gains the energy to perform a powerful fury attack, which incapacitates Cynder and frees her from Malefor's control. Cynder then reverts to her true form, that of a small dragon the same size as Spyro. The altar begins to collapse as a result of the fight, but Spyro refuses to leave Cynder behind. In the end, Spyro and Sparx escape from Convexity with the unconscious Cynder.

The Eternal Night

Convexity appears again at the beginning of The Eternal Night, as Spyro was having nightmares of Malefor's voice calling his name after he defeats Cynder and saves her from the implosion of the altar. In the same scene, Malefor's essence enters the Well of Souls, from which Malefor later escapes off-screen at the end of the game.
