Convexity is the final level in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. It is an alternate dimension that consists of an endless iridiscent void, with groups of floating platforms to jump from one to the other along with frightening but non-hostile creatures. This realm acts as a entryway between Spyro's world and the dark realms that lie beyond. Unnatural creatures reside in Convexity from large alien whales to flying jellyfish. It is also where the Dark Master's prison is kept.
Story
The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning
After gathering all four of the needed crystals, Cynder finally completed her task in freeing Malefor. As the portal to Malefor's prison opened, Spyro came to stop Cynder and battled her in a final showdown. Hearing the voice of Ignitus echo in his head, Spyro gained the energy to perform a powerful fury attack, which incapacitated Cynder and freed her from Malefor's control. Cynder returned to her true form, that of a small dragon the same size as Spyro. The portal to Malefor's prison began to open, pulling everything, including Cynder, towards it. Spyro refused to leave Cynder behind, and he and Sparx escaped from Convexity with the unconscious Cynder in tow.
The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night
Convexity appeared again in the prologue of The Eternal Night, in the form of Spyro's nightmare. He recalls his battle with Cynder at Convexity's altar and saved her from the portal's implosion. As he was fleeing, Spyro could hear Malefor's voice calling his name. In the same scene, Malefor's essence entered the Well of Souls, from which Malefor later escaped off-screen at the end of the game.

Trivia
- A strange, disembodied voice can be heard in this level as Spyro navigates through Convexity, occasionally calling Spyro's name amidst the background ambience. This voice is possibly the Dark Master Malefor's, as the portal that imprisoned him was nearby when the level/battle took place.
- The altar and the level area of Convexity resembles that of a Quasar, such as many celestial bodies are seen surrounding the alter which sucks everything in it, similar to the Black Hole, and shooting out two beams or colums of some powerful energy (ie:Aether and Star Excess Energy). However, even though similar, the only difference is no disks that make up a galaxy and there are living creatures populating it.
