Original series
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!
Trolls are playful little creatures that inhabit Cloud Temples (mostly). Due to the carelessness of one of the Wizards, the trolls in Cloud Temples have flaming backsides which cannot be doused (even when the troll is frozen).
A wizard in the Cloud Temples offers you an orb to freeze the trolls and ring the bells in the bell tower.
Spyro: Year of the Dragon
The Purple Trolls are the natives in Enchanted Towers. Some Trolls are hatched from eggs created by Scorch, serving him. These trolls appear in Spyro: Year of the Dragon. The trolls Spyro fights when facing Scorch differ significantly from the friendly ones in Cloud Temples. They appear to be made entirely of fire. This particular species of Troll is called a Burning Smiley. A troll can only fight with self-destruct.
The Legend of Spyro series
- Main article: Trolls (The Legend of Spyro)

Skylanders series
- Main article: Trolls (Skylanders)
In the Skylanders series, Trolls are Kaos' ground forces who are known for their love of blowing stuff, and basically just cause trouble by taking over areas of Skylands. The only good Troll is Boomer, and another notable Troll is Glumshanks, Kaos' butler.
