The Dragon Elders willingly taught him how to master the elements, but his power was limitless, it knew no boundary, he consumed everything. When he would not stop, the Elders casted him to exile. After that, he built a new fortress and built an army of [[Apes]]. He also taught the Apes how to artificially harness the power of the gems, which was the Dragons' lifeforce. His malice was so great, that it splited the earth and created the Mountain of Malefor, which is known as the Well of Souls. During the celestial moons' eclipse, Malefor's dark influnce took control of [[Spyro (Legend of Spyro)|Spyro]]'s mind and destroyed [[Gaul]]. After the eclipse, Malefor finally escaped from the Well of Souls and plagued the world. Story
