Grendor

Grendor is a Rhynoc librarian and the main villain of Spyro: Season of Ice. He resides in his own lair, and Spyro fights him there on two separate occasions.

In his normal form, Grendor is a small, pink Rhynoc. As a villain, Grendor is large and two-headed. His body is split in halves; the left side of his body is red, and the right side is green. Grendor wears a cape and a star necklace around both of his heads, and he wears a wizard's hat on each head. Grendor's left head is always shown to be angry, while his right head is always shown to be sad.

History

Prior to the game's events, Bianca accidentally left her Spell Book behind at a library, and Grendor stole the Spell Book to try and make himself smarter. However, when Grendor tried to apply the spell on himself, he accidentally read it upside-down, causing him to grow larger and a second head. Grendor received a migraine in both of his heads, and in the Spell Book, he found that the wings of 100 fairies would cure his headache. Grendor kidnapped Zoe and cast a magical spell to freeze the fairies in Fairy Worlds.[1]

During the game, after Spyro completes Winter Fairy Home, he enters Grendor's Lair and finds out for himself that Grendor is responsible for freezing all of the fairies. The two of them engage in a boss fight, but Spyro manages to defeat Grendor. Later, after completing Summer Fairy Home, Spyro re-enters Grendor's Lair to fight him a second time.

In the ending, Grendor feels remorseful and no longer wants to be a powerful wizard. Zoe returns Grendor to his normal self, and he apologizes for all the trouble that he has caused.
