'''T-Rexes''' are large, green [[Riptocs]] who can only be killed by [[Fire|fire]]. They seem to be a comic-relief enemy, as they resemble T-rexes but dressed in a Hawaiian shirt with a camera. They are located in [[Luau Island]]. Despite when they see [[Spyro the Dragon (character)|Spyro]], the T-Rexes acknowledge you with by waving and actually saying "hello" in a high-pitched voice, which seems to be the only thing they say. Instead of engaging in conversation, they are not too friendly as they sniff then attack you with their sharp dinosaur teeth. Upon defeating them, you hear a funny bouncy noise. However, the bite is really the only thing about this enemy. If you're not even close to them, they're easy, and really no problem, especially since they are too lazy to chase, let alone walk towards Spyro, after they spot him.

Riptoc Tourists are one of the varieties of Riptocs that have invaded Luau Island in order to capture the dragonflies. They appear deceptively as tourists. When first encountered, they will wave and greet Spyro, but will soon sniff around then attack him by biting him.

They are immune to Spyro's Charge attack unless frozen.

Trivia

  • In early builds, they reused the cut tiger sound effects from Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
