Ripto, a short dinosaur, is one of Spyro's greatest enemies. He wears a cape and uses a scepter to cast magic in battle. He is a persistant enemy of Spyro, appearing in several games. He has two minions, Crush and Gulp, who serve him and carry out his orders.

He was the main villain in both Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage and Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly.

Biography

A Riptoc who hated Dragons, Ripto had enlisted Crush and Gulp at Molten Crater in order to help him wage war on their race, before he was accidentally warped to Avalar by Hunter. Upon arrival, he set about enslaving the worlds, despite the Superportal being shut down by the quick thinking of Zoe and Elora, who scattered the orbs across Avalar.

Ripto's reign brought disaster to Avalar, and he was eventually defeated by Spyro in the second PSone game, who had been summoned in by The Professor from a portal in Glimmer by in literall accident. During Ripto's boss battle, he magically created a mechanised version of Gulp and used him for protection.

Many years later, Ripto succesfully attacked the Dragon Realms, scattering the Dragonflies far and wide. Once again for the second time, he was foiled by Spyro, who is the most "hated by Ripto" Dragon, due to that, he is also foiled by Spyro in other games but not in Legend of Spyro.
