The plotline is an alternate canon coninueing from Spyro: Year of the Dragon that does not include Enter the Dragonly, A Hero's Tail, or Shadow Legacy. The games include:

Spyro: Season of Ice

Spyro, Bianca, and Hunter are taking a vacation at Dragon Shores after the events of Year of the Dragon when a letter atached to a ballon arrives. The letter is from Zoe. It explains that a rhynoc named Grendor stole Bianca's spellbook and, in an attempt to cure his headache, accidently grew a second head. To reverse the spell, Grendor needs the wings of 100 faries, so he uses a spell to freeze all the faries (coninue here)
