Gemcutter
Gemcutters are inhabitants that reside in Glimmer, a realm of Avalar in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!. They are kangaroo rats, and they mine for gems. They are also the first race Spyro encounters in the game. Gemcutters create all of the gems found in Avalar, Glimmer being the source of the realm's money system.
Gemcutters
Pogo
Pogo is stationed at the beginning of the game where Spyro arrives via the portal. He welcomes Spyro to Glimmer, and tells him about the lizards that have taken over his world, and asks Spyro if he can stop them.
Whiskers
Whiskers is standing next to a ladder up to a Powerup Gate. He tells Spyro that no Gemcutter can climb up as they're too small, and that Spyro can't either, and tells him to come back when he has learned to climb.
Twitchy
Twitchy is standing in a room that opens up to the garden area and the cave. He congratulates Spyro on having made it through Glimmer and dealing with the lizards, and awards him with a talisman to show their gratitude, and activates the portal back to Summer Forest.
Twitchy is later seen holding a gem to tempt a Brown Lizard who is pulling a Gem-Carrier, each time seeing the gem walking forward, irritating a Scarlet Lizard leaning against it and making it fall.
Kanga
Kanga is standing on a stone platform in the garden next to a Powerup Gate. He asks Spyro to re-enlighten the lamps in the garden and in the cave. He awards Spyro with an Orb for each area.
Bounsa
Bounsa is standing inside a small cave area in the garden, and is trying to hit the scarlet lizard that is taunting him. When Spyro arrives, he asks Spyro to help him get rid of all the scarlet lizards in Glimmer, and leads him to each area infested with the lizards. He congratulates Spyro when he's done, and awards him with an Orb.
Trivia
- Although Spyro had just arrived in Glimmer at the beginning of the game, the Gemcutter, Pogo, knew Spyro's name despite the dragon not mentioning his name to anyone in Avalar prior to his arrival, suggesting they have met at an earlier point off-screen.
