The ghoulish moon "Zella" and the bright larger moon "Adrano"

The Celestial Moons are two individual moons featured in The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. The green ghoulish moon (left) is named "Zella" and the bigger, bright celestial body (right) is named "Adrano".[1]

Story

In The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, the Celestial Moons play a role in telling when the Night of Eternal Darkness will occur. Said spectacle will start when the moons are at an eclipse, shrouding the realms in darkness for a short while.

During Spyro's journey to find the Chronicler and rescuing Cynder, the Celestial Moons drew closer and closer to each other, eventually eclipsing one another during Spyro and Gaul's duel at the Well of Souls. As the moons formed an eclipse, a beam of dark energy was generated from the lunar alignment and shot itself down into the mountain. Spyro became caught in the beam and the dark energies of the eclipse transformed him into Dark Spyro, allowing him to destroy Gaul. The lunar alignment beam eventually faded away as Cynder saved Spyro from the influence of Dark Aether.

In The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, the Celestial Moons are briefly seen at the start of Twilight Falls when Spyro, Cynder and Sparx escape the Catacombs with Hunter. After the three year time gap, they are now seen apart from one another.
