Template:Items (Original) Dark Shards are smaller versions of the Dark Gems in Spyro: A Hero's Tail. Instead of helping Spyro get to new places, dark shards help him get more gems, which can be spent at Moneybags' shop.
Dark shards are also the targets in Blink 's levels, the object being to find and destroy all of them in the level.
