The Machine of Doom
First appearance Skylanders: The Machine of Doom

The Machine of Doom is a dreaded weapon in Skylanders: The Machine of Doom created by the Arkeyans that was rumored to be capable of destroying the Core of Light. When the Skylanders, Spyro, Eruptor, Gill Grunt, and Boomer heard that the Machine of Doom was being sought out by Kaos, they tried to get to the machine first before he does.

Upon reaching the Machine of Doom along with Kaos, Boomer eagerly tried to control the evil contraption himself to use it against Kaos and his minions, but failed when the machine began to break apart and the Pyramid of Just Rewards started to cave in around them. In the end it was revealed that the Machine was really a trap designed by the Arkeyans to capture anyone who might be tempted to steal a weapon capable of destroying the Core of Light, knowing that anyone who got through the Forest of Fear, retrieved the chattering key, and unlocked the tomb to the pyramid was too dangerous to walk free. Kaos tricked the Skylanders into seizing the Machine of Doom, therefore springing the trap created by the Arkeyans so that he can have the heroes buried alive.

Boomer, having gained control over the Machine of Doom, used the mechanical titan to destroy the transport portal that Kaos was about to use to escape, and then used the Machine as a way to get out of the crumbling pyramid. This action caused the Machine of Doom to break apart as a result.
