In the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, gameplay and environment changes were made as a form of creative decision.
Spyro the Dragon
- In Reignited, all the captive dragons were given different character designs.
- Thor's original "Thank you for releasing me!" dialogue has been changed, adding an explanation on where to check your progress to it.
- Some of the other dragons have had their dialogue changed as well, however still staying true to the original.
- In Dr. Shemp, the Kamikaze Tribesmen's metal masks were changed to tin cans.
- Gnorc-Adiers in Haunted Towers carry bombs instead of grenades.
- The Gnorc Commandos' weapons now fire purple goo.
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!
- The main Dragon Realms location has been changed to Stone Hill.
- The Dragon Shores portal does not display its location's name, either.
- Zoe zaps Ripto and takes his scepter until Gulp catches and eats it. His stomach doesn't act up.
- Ripto, Crush and Gulp aren't seen entering the castle in Summer Forest in Reignited.
- Elora's final line in the cutscene before Crush's Dungeon isn't heard.
- Gulp crashes through the door after Crush's defeat and Ripto doesn't say "The roof?" when it caves in.
- Moneybags paces around in the cutscene in Autumn Plains, trips on his bag when Ripto scares him, doesn't fall all the way to the ground and a thud is heard.
- Mr. Bones' dancing sequence has changed, now accompanied by air horns.
- The Lava Lizard knocks the Bonebuilder with the camera with its tail in the Skelos Badlands outro.
- In "Gulp, lunchtime", Ripto's sentence Gulp, finish him off and you can have all the fairies you can eat. I'm going to enjoy this. is delivered at the beginning of the boss fight instead of the closing words of the cutscene.
- Spyro lies on his back in his lounge chair after beating Gulp.
- Moneybags final dialogue upon learning the headbash technique is not used in Reignited.
Spyro: Year of the Dragon
- In the "An evil plot unfolds" first cutscene, dragons Argus, Lindar, Gavin, Bubba, and Astor are present, as opposed to generic dragons loosely based on the originals.
- The main Dragon Realms location has also been changed to Stone Hill.
- In the cutscene "A desperate rescue begins", Argus pushes Hunter down the hole with his tail as opposed to the purple dragon's foot.
- Sgt. James Byrd, Bentley and Agent 9 were given new dialogue in the cutscenes before each boss.
- Spear Rhynocs' spears now are metal fists.
- Crossbow Rhynocs have plungers as ammunition instead of arrows.
- The cutscene "The end" is expanded.
