Vivendi Games was a holding company and video game publisher in Los Angeles, California. It was originally named Universal Interactive Studios, which published the original Spyro the Dragon game trilogy developed by Insomniac Games. From 1997 to 2001, the company went under multiple names (such as Universal Interactive) and parent companies before organized under Vivendi Universal (later renamed Vivendi). On July 10, 2008, Vivendi Games merged with Activision to create Activision Blizzard.[1]
