- For the Yeti that are friendly, see Bentley, Bartholomew or Slam Bam.
The Yetis are a race that appeared in the original Spyro series. There seem to be two types of Yeti that live in the Dragon realms.
Notable Yetis
The first Yeti appeared in the Spyro 2 level, Colossus, which was causing trouble for the monks there. It was implied in the opening scene of the level that it even ate one of the monks. This yeti appeared as a dunk tank character in Dragon Shores at the end of the game. It appeared again in Spyro: Year of the Dragon in a Yeti boxing match minigame and as a part of the 'Sasquatch Six' in the Super Bonus Round (all of the Yetis being the same design, but with different colored shorts).
Friendly yetis, include Bentley and Bartholomew. Yetis make an appearance in Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly in the level, Monkey Monastery. Yeti live in more then one Realm. They do not seem to be a united race, maybe different tribes.
In Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure a four armed playable Yeti called Slam Bam appears.
A Hero's Tail
The Yetis which appear in the Icy Wilderness realms are enemies that are able to throw snowballs, explosive barrels, and in one case, a crossbow at any of the playable characters. However, Bentley the friendly yeti explains that the yetis that are in the enemies are from a different hostile tribe.
Skylanders
Slam Bam
Slam Bam lived alone on a floating glacier in a remote region of Skylands, where he spent his time ice surfing, eating snow cones, and his only friends were his many beautiful ice sculptures. It was a peaceful life, until Kaos destroyed the glacier, stranding Slam Bam on an iceberg that drifted through the skies for days. He awoke on Eon’s Island, where he was taken in and trained to become a Skylander. Now his ice sculptures serve as a frosty prison for any evil-doer that gets in his way, and provide a key ingredient for delicious snow cones.
