The Blue Crabs are immune to fire, so there are two ways to beat them. They can be defeated by electricity or charging on them, so they will be on their backs and then using the Horn Dive on them.

The Blue Crabs later made a reapparance in Dragon Shores and the beach west of the Dragon Realms in Spyro: Shadow Legacy.
