Avalar is the main setting of Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!.
Features and overview
Avalar appears to be a kingdom, as suggested by the castles shown in all three homeworlds. Unlike the Dragon Realms or Forgotten Realm, the residents of Avalar have never seen a dragon before. When Ripto arrives, the locals to open a temporary portal to the Dragon Realms to draw a dragon to help them.
Avalar has three Home Worlds that Spyro must explore, in order of Summer Forest, Autumn Plains, and Winter Tundra, which are based on the seasons of summer, autumn, and winter respectively. Avalar is mentioned by Elora in Spyro: Year of the Dragon. The location is also featured as a world in Spyro: Shadow Legacy.
