Spirit particles are white, glowing orb-shaped items found in every realm of Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!.
Whenever Spyro defeats an enemy, their spirit particle is released. When Spyro collects enough spirit particles, a power-up gate is activated in the realm, allowing him to use a temporary power-up in that area. If Spyro does not have enough spirit particles, the power-up gate displays a number to indicate how many spirit particles are needed in order for it to activate.
