Spirit Particles are items in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! that resemble white, glowing orbs. Whenever Spyro defeated an enemy, their spirit particle is released. By collecting enough spirit particles, Spyro activates a powerup gate in the realm, allowing him to temporarily use a powerup in that area. Without having a sufficient number, the power-up gate displays a number to indicate how many Spirit Particles it needs to activate.
