Spirit Particles are items in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!. They have the appearance of white, glowing orbs.
Story
Spyro found Spirit Particles in every realm. The player could see the total number of Spirit Particles on the pause screen. Whenever Spyro defeated an enemy, their spirit particle is released. By collecting enough spirit particles, Spyro activates a powerup gate in the realm, allowing him to use a powerup in that area temporarily. Without having a sufficient number, the power-up gate displays a number to indicate how many Spirit Particles it needs to activate.
