Captain Rhynocs[1] are an enemy in Spyro: Season of Ice.
Characteristics
They are purple Rhynocs that wear a dark blue captain's outfit and carry a green parrot around with them.
Captain Rhynocs are only encountered in Mermaid Coast. Whenever Spyro approaches a Captain Rhynoc, its parrot starts circling around it; this is to protect the Captain Rhynoc from Spyro's attacks. If Spyro touches the parrot, he takes damage. After a while, the parrot stops spinning, leaving the Captain Rhynoc open to attack.
In Dusty Trails, there is a similar Rhynoc that is dressed in traditional Mexican clothing and a sombrero, and it carries a vulture around with it. They act no different in terms of behavior.
