Crash Bandicoot 5[1] was a console game installment developed by Toys For Bob that would've featured Spyro and Crash Bandicoot in a crossover adventure once again.
Concept
While one team at Toys For Bob were working on Crash Team Rumble, another team began their progress on another entry for Crash Bandicoot after Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.
In the game's premise, one of Crash Bandicoot's enemies, Uka Uka, was planned to be the main antagonist. He would discover a dimensional portal under the Academy of Evil in Crash's dimension and use it to reach Spyro's world, where he would corrupt the dragon elders into serving him. The corrupted dragon elders would wreck havoc on the Dragon Realms to the point that it would affect Crash's home dimension. Crash and his sister Coco Bandicoot would follow after Uka Uka into the Dragon Realms to stop him. They would meet Spyro and join forces to restore the Dragon Elders and defeat Uka Uka to save both their dimensions. Upon defeating and saving a corrupted dragon elder, they would grant Crash and Spyro different abilities from feathers Uka Uka used to corrupt the elders.
Cancellation
Sometime after being initially approved, Crash Bandicoot 5 was in pre-production stage when it was cancelled. Leftover concept art for the game was later used for Crash Team Rumble as user profile banners.
