Glimmer is the first realm visited in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!. It is accessed from the homeworld, Summer Forest. Unlike other games, which has a homeworld as the starting point of the game, Glimmer is the very first location that Spyro visits, something that is even referenced in the game's European title, Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer. Glimmer is where Spyro meets several of Avalar's inhabitants, including Hunter, Elora, the Professor, Zoe, and Ripto.
