Falcons are a species of bird in The Legend of Spyro series. A flock of them are owned by Hunter of Avalar, who often use his falcons to scout areas or send messages to inhabitants who are faraway. One falcon can be seen flying over the Well of Souls in the game's introduction, and another one is seen with Hunter after he guided Spyro, Cynder, and Sparx from the Catacombs. The cheetah warrior sent that falcon off to tell Ignitus that he has found the three heroes after his three-year long search for them.
After the Destroyer completed its journey, Hunter was instructed by Ignitus to send his falcons to warn everyone in the outer regions to get underground as quickly as they can in preparation for the world's destruction.
