- “Spyro, you're lucky to be alive, all of you. That was no ordinary creature back there. It was an ancient earth golem from the deep. They are the embodiment of destruction summoned by Malefor himself.”
- – Hunter
The Golems of the Deep are a race of creatures in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon that serve as the embodiment of destruction. They are said to bring about the Great Cleansing: the end of the world. The Dark Master Malefor claimed that the true nature of the purple dragon breed is to reawaken the Destroyer and the Golems of the Deep to initiate such an event.
Only one known Golem of the Deep was summoned by Malefor in Dawn of the Dragon.
