Malefor's Lair is a temple that serves as the central building to Malefor's fortress. It is the final chapter in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. It is located high on a platform beyond the Floating Islands levitated by Malefor's dark magic. Spyro and Cynder go there together to confront Malefor for the final battle to save the Dragon Realms.
Story
After finding safety in Twilight Falls, Hunter explained to Spyro, Sparx and Cynder about Malefor's return. Shortly after their disappearance, Malefor immediately attacked the Dragon City of Warfang and reclaimed the throne at the city's temple. With dark magic, he suspended the structure and several surrounding city architecture above the land as a symbol of his dominance.[1] Malefor's Lair was later destroyed when the Destroyer finished completing its journey right as Spyro and Cynder were battling Malefor, splitting the world apart below and causing the temple to break apart slowly into pieces.
