When [[The Destroyer (character)|the Destroyer]] crossed the Belt of Fire, the barrier became temporarily weakened. This allowed [[Spyro (The Legend of Spyro)|Spyro]] and [[Cynder]] to get through to Malefor's domain before its strength returned, but at the cost of Ignitus's life. The Belt of Fire would soon spread throughout the world when the Destroyer completed its journey, slowly destroying the planet, until Spyro used his [[Aether|power]] to stop the destruction and rebuild the world.

The Belt of Fire

The Belt of Fire is a barrier of fire that surrounds Malefor's domain in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. It is empowered by dark magic, and its heat is so intense that not even a dragon master of the fire element can withstand its flames. The other side of the Belt of Fire lies the Burned Lands.
