One Shadow Amplifier was used to unleash the Calamity that imprisoned everyone in the Shadow Realm. When Spyro was freeing the inhabitants of the world, the Sorcerer built a more powerful Shadow Amplifier that would permanently trap them all in the Shadow Realm, but the evil dragon was stopped before he can activate it.
