Rhynocs are anthropomorphic rhinoceroses that appear as enemies in a few Spyro games. Rhynocs make their first appearance in Spyro: Year of the Dragon, and they would later appear as enemies in the first three Game Boy Advance titles. In these games, Spyro encounters several different types of them throughout his adventure. Rhynocs use a variety of weapons such as fireworks, snow-bazookas, pickaxes, flower pots, spades, slingshots, hot coals, lanterns, chicken drumsticks, and China-styled umbrellas.

In Spyro: Year of the Dragon, the Rhynocs serve under the command of the Sorceress, who commanded them steal all of the Dragon Eggs. The game has several Rhynoc mini-bosses and even a boss named Buzz.

In Spyro: Season of Ice, the main antagonist is a Rhynoc named Grendor. He ordered the Rhynocs to capture all the fairies to try and reverse a spell that gave him a second head. In each level, there are two different types of Rhynocs that are specific to that level.

In Spyro 2: Season of Flame and Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs, Rhynocs serve as under the command of Ripto instead of Riptocs like in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!.
