With Splintering Bomb and Piercing Bomb, the icy sphere would hurt enemies with misty shrapnel. By manipulating ice, Spyro would mimic his past situation with Ice King (using "his" attacks as an example for his inspiration this time) and create an Ice Tail attack which makes the reminiscing ice blade to swirl around him and take out large bits of health. By using fury energy, Spyro levitates and surrounds himself in a huge sphere of ice covered with many icicle blades he used normally, which he gets some swirls of dim blue mist around at the ground. Once he charges enough of an orbit, Spyro commands the sphere and 'ice blades' to explode outwards, taking out all enemies.


In the Gameboy Advance version of ''The Eternal Night'', Spyro can fire a ball of ice that freezes water, like the console versions, and slow down enemies. When powered up to level 2, it has a chance to freeze enemies, which increases at level 3.
In the Game Boy Advance version, the Earth element is the second one unlocked instead of the third one, and it's useful for crowd control and to start and extend combos. Spyro can spit a stone that falls to the ground in an arc, causing rock pillars to appear and hit enemies up to a certain range. At level 2, the rock pillars have more range, and at level 3, they cover him from both sides.

Once Spyro had all his elements awakened, he could utilize his past Ice spikes but now he could execute Snow Storm where he spins in a icy vortex. His Snow Storm could shoot out ice spikes in every angle while using the twister attack, similar to the previous Ice Fury and he could improve his speed with it. However, during a battle with Malefor by using any magic-exclusive attack on him, Spyro's Ice abilities will create a wide frost cloud for a short period of time.
Due to his abilities being dormant and reawakened like before, Spyro's abilities become more powerful and gain new types of attacks. This time, Spyro lost his Earth Fury along with others, but in exchange for becoming slightly weaker, he has Earth Boulder where he can roll along the ground in a hard, tough cage.
 
He can charge it up and alter its appearance but retain its physical strength. If you charge up the attack, Spyro will hurl after an enemy or if he wants more useful results, come up and cling to a ledge with Cynder to reach up higher than with other abilities. After Spyro jumps in his earth boulder and hits the ground, an earthquake pulse throws all enemies into the air. This attack is called Armored Boulder. By manipulating his inner earth, Spyro can spit out his Earth Missile which is a rock-like projectile capable of damage in par with Ice Spikes. You can charge up its attack damage and have a small green orb formed on his mouth, signalling the attack charge is finished. When the missile is released, it will split into four miniature earth missiles each capable of high damage, if you look for many ways to use this attack against enemies.

You can also combine these two attacks by performing the Earth Pound move and just before he finishes press which ever button (varies from platform to platform) triggers the Earth Flail, causing Spyro to do two swift turns while using the Earth Flail. When utilizing the power of fury gems, Spyro unleashes his earth fury where he levitates (like other furies) and is swallowed by a central, vertical green line. He induces about several Earth Pound-based attacks adding towards a hard, unexcapable attack that most enemies cannot survive from. When he finishes the attack, dozens of green-energy leaves swirl and blow until all energy subsides, having Spyro fall to the ground when done.

In the Game Boy Advance version, the Earth element is the second one unlocked instead of the third one, and it's useful for crowd control and to start and extend combos. Spyro can spit a stone that falls to the ground in an arc, causing rock pillars to appear and hit enemies up to a certain range. At level 2, the rock pillars have more range, and at level 3, they cover him from both sides.

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon

Due to his abilities being dormant and reawakened like before, Spyro's abilities become more powerful and gain new types of attacks. This time, Spyro lost his Earth Fury along with others, but in exchange for becoming slightly weaker, he has Earth Boulder where he can roll along the ground in a hard, tough cage.

He can charge it up and alter its appearance but retain its physical strength. If you charge up the attack, Spyro will hurl after an enemy or if he wants more useful results, come up and cling to a ledge with Cynder to reach up higher than with other abilities. After Spyro jumps in his earth boulder and hits the ground, an earthquake pulse throws all enemies into the air. This attack is called Armored Boulder. By manipulating his inner earth, Spyro can spit out his Earth Missile which is a rock-like projectile capable of damage in par with Ice Spikes. You can charge up its attack damage and have a small green orb formed on his mouth, signalling the attack charge is finished. When the missile is released, it will split into four miniature earth missiles each capable of high damage, if you look for many ways to use this attack against enemies.
