Gear Grinder thieves are an enemy in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!. Like all Gear Grinders, they are obsessed with tormenting the Electrolls to no end.
Gear Grinder Thieves are part of an orb challenge in which Spyro must power some generators by spitting the thunder stones the thieves are stealing back into the right place. However, this challenge can only be completed if Spyro defeats the 10 Thieves while doing this.
Characteristics
Gear Grinder thieves are a purple variant of Gear Grinders appearing only in the Hurricos realm, during an Orb Challenge where an Electroll named Amper asks for Spyro's help in defeating ten Gear Grinder thieves and returning the lightning stones into the generators. The Gear Grinder thieves constantly steal the lightning stones throughout the challenge, even if Spyro has returned them. Like regular Gear Grinders, Spyro can defeat a Gear Grinder thief with his flame breath.
