Template:Characterbox The Cheetahs are a race of felines who commonly appeared in both the original Spyro series and The Legend of Spyro series.

Original series

In the original Spyro series, Hunter was the only notable cheetah who made an appearance throughout the games. Other cheetahs were revealed in Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs, residing in the Cheetah Spot Spa, and later in Spyro: Shadow Legacy in the Savannah, Hunter's homeland.

The Legend of Spyro series

In The Legend of Spyro series, cheetahs live in the Valley of Avalar and reside within the Cheetah Village. There is a cheetah hermit, who lives on the other side of the valley.

The Cheetahs are a peaceful people that live a quitet life in the wilds of the Realms. They show little interest in the affairs of the larger world and have a fearful distrust of Dragonkind due to the misfortunes caused by Malefor and the corrupted Cynder. They were soon forced into action when Malefor's army threatened their way of life.[1]One Cheetah, named Hunter, attempted to help in the war against Malefor before his village got involved. After their encounter with Spyro and Cynder, the cheetahs joined the Dragon race in their fight against Malefor's forces. It was mentioned by Meadow that not all of the cheetahs share the same views as their village leader, Prowlus, who held a strong, understandable distrust towards Dragons.
