Cpl. Gabrielle is a hummingbird who was the leader of a flock of hummingbird soldiers that were left to defend Sgt. Byrd's Base while Sgt. Byrd was away. Despite their attempts to put up a resistance, the squad was captured by the invading Rhynocs and the base was taken over. Cpl. Gabrielle escaped capture and informed Sgt. Byrd of the situation upon his return, guiding him through the base and helping him eventually recover it.
