Spiders are enemies that are appeared in Spyro: Year of the Dragon and can be found in Mushroom Speedway in Sunrise Spring hanging from a thread of cobweb. Sparx told Spyro to defeat the spiders as one of the four challenges. Sparx awarded Spyro a Dragon Egg for his effort.
Sparx later encountered a lot of youngling spiders in the world of Spider Town in Midday Gardens. The older ones could produce a fiery explosion around themselves while the younger ones could bite Sparx.
They are all the spawn of a giant Spider King.
