Camels are an enemy in the level Scorch, in the game Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!. They are ostrich-like dromedaries with two legs that attack Spyro by biting him or swinging their necks at him. They can only be defeated by being flamed. When Spyro isn't near them they will bury their heads in the sand like an ostrich. They also hop around to face Spyro's direction if he approaches them. There are five total in Scorch.
They later reappear in Oasis Speedway, in the game Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly as Items galloping across the racecourse, Spyro can take them out with his flame breath or Supercharge ability. There are eight total in Oasis Speedway.
Note: In the original game, if Spyro touches the Camel's legs (whether or not the Camel is bouncing), he will instantly take damage. This may be a glitch, as all other enemies in the game cannot inflict damage on Spyro by merely touching him unless they are attacking him. Regardless, Spyro must keep at a certain distance from the Camels while flaming them to avoid this hazardous glitch.
In Reignited, the bounce-glitch has been changed to a stomp attack.
