- “Incredible glide, Spyro! I thought I'd be stuck here forever with those ugly vultures standing on my head. Those birds might look tough, but they're pretty tasty. Flame broiled, with a pinch of salt...”
- – Maximos, Spyro the Dragon (game)
Maximos is a Peace Keepers dragon who is found in Dry Canyon.
Physical Appearance
Original Design (1998)
Maximos is a yellow dragon with dark-colored spots, an orange underbelly, blue horns and green wings and frills. He shares the same character model as Magnus and Enzo.
Reignited Design (2018)
In the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Maximos is very heavily built, has smaller wings, lacks the frills, wears a leather and fur-studded chest harness with a stone buckle, and carries a stone club as his weapon of choice. He has an x-shaped scar on his neck. His tail spade is flat and spiky, and he also has a frying pan and two-pronged fork strapped on the bottom right side of his harness. Several orange spikes cover him from neck to tail, with a few on his arms.

Trivia
- In some early builds of the game, Maximos looks exactly like Magnus. In one such build, his dialogue is extremely slowed down, possibly due to an incorrect sample rate being applied to the sound file.
- Maximos' name translates to "the largest" in latin, hence his size.
