Mazi is a dragon who resides in Dream Weavers. He instructs Spyro to attack the Clock Fools even though they are invincible.

Physical Appearance

Original Design (1998)

Mazi is a purple-blue scaled dragon with green eyes and horns, a light pink underbelly, brown wings with dark-pink membranes, a long wavy back fin running down his back, and hair in the form of a goatee, and side burns. He shares his character model with Lateef, Azizi, Useni, and Revilo.

Reignited Design (2018)

In the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Mazi is shorter. He has a large magician's hat with a sleeping mask, a long purple beard, earrings on his horns, pointy shoes, a small wooden wand, and dark purple wrist and shoulder armor with gold.

  • In the June 15, 1998 prototype build, Mazi doesn't exist at all inside his crystal-prison.
  • Mazi means "water" in several Bantu languages, but it's also a Nigerian name of Hebrew origin, meaning "sir."
