'''Strongarms''' are a type of ape-like creatures that are associated with the [[Bananaboys]]. As evidenced in their name, they have long arms. In the level, [[Metalhead]], they are known to throw their smaller cousins at Spyro, also when Metalhead battles Spyro, he throws Strongarms at him and can be used to destroy the pylons which power Metalhead. Their bodies are big and strong along with their arms while their legs are shrunken. This could be from under usage because they climb so much.

Charactertistics

Behavior

Strongarms are notable for their oversized arms that they use to stand up and deliver kicks to Spyro if he draws close. In the realm Metalhead, they throw their Banana Boys at Spyro. When during the battle with Metalhead, it throws Strongarms at Spyro and can be used to destroy the pylons which power Metalhead.

Tactics

They can be defeated by Spyro's fire (unless Spyro possesses supercharge).

Trivia

  • Strongarms were redesigned to possibly resemble ape-like creatures in the Reignited Trilogy as their ambiguous design in the original 1998 game bore a resemblance to stereotypical and offensive depictions of tribesmen. It is unclear on whether they were intended to resemble apes or people in the original game, but the presence of a tail and their bestial noises implies that conceptually, they weren't people.
