Armored Druid
World Magic Crafters

Wizard Peak
First appearance Spyro the Dragon (1998)
Latest appearance Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Armored Druids[1], also called as Bird Warriors[2], can be found in Magic Crafters home world and some of its realms.

Charactertistics

Tactics

An Armored Druid's metal armor fully protects them from Spyro's flame attack (except in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, they can be defeated using rage flame breath or superflame), so he must charge them to defeat them. They will attack by swinging their staffs. They also seem to be the defenders and apprentices of the Green Druids, as well as the owners of the Beasts. They also seem to be hated by the Ice Gnorcs, for the Gnorcs will kill them.

Trivia

  • In some of the prototype builds, the Druids make different sound effects.
  • The sound their staffs make when they attack is the same sound that the Sorceress's scepter makes.
  • In the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, the Armoured Druid at the beginning of Alpine Ridge can be seen feeding Wumpa Fruit from Crash Bandicoot to one of the Beasts if left undisturbed by the player.
  • In the original game only, some of the Armoured Druids in Wizard Peak have a unique spinning death animation. This is not present in the Reignited version of the level.
