Red Thief
From the Spyro Wiki, the Spyro and Skylanders encyclopedia
Red Thieves are thieves that are only found in certian supercharge areas. In Spyro the Dragon, one appeared in the level, Tree Tops in the Beast Makers world. The player would chase the thief throughout the level until the end of the level, in which the player would only get a pink gem from it.
Later in Spyro: Year of the Dragon, it reappeared in a challenge area of the levels Molten Crater and Icy Peak, where instead of it holding a gem, it would hold one of the two dragon eggs available in the area. According to one of the characters, they are much faster than a normal thief.
