Stone Hill is the first realm of Artisans in Spyro the Dragon. Like its home world, Stone Hill takes place at a peaceful grasslands with green hills in the background and a cloudy, blue sky. Its architecture and castle resemble that of a royal kingdom, and the level is surrounded by a wall.

Trivia

• The cutscene that shows Spyro being interviewed about his defeat of Gnasty Gnorc takes place here.
• Through means of hacking, if you can fly far enough, you can fly towards the mountains. If you fly to the lower part of the mountains, you will be knocked back by an invisible wall. If you manage to get there, the mountains are strangely solid. Even though it is not reachable by regular, non-hacking methods, hacks can let you make it to the mountains.
• In the demos, none of the dragons' cutscenes are more than text.
  • In one of the demos, this level was replaced by Town Square. However, it still had this level's music.
  • in one of the demos, this level is present and accessible but the music is replaced with the end credit song.
• This is one of the three levels in the Spyro series to have Shepherds, the other two being Toasty and Dragonfly Falls.
• Variants of this level's background appear to have been reused in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!. The levels Zephyr and Robotica Farms both have a very similar background, but the bottom half is green, blending in with the hills, while Scorch appears to use another variant, with the hills being yellow dunes.
• For the first eleven seconds of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy announcement trailer, you can hear a segment of this level's remastered theme.
