El Toros[1], also called Bulls[2], Bulls are enemies that appeared in Spyro the Dragon and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. They are only found in the Town Square world.

Characteristics

Physical Appearance

El Toros have the typical appearance of a bull, including a nosering. They have a large, light brown body. In the original PlayStation version, they have curved, red-tipped gray horns, although the red was removed in PAL releases of the game. In the Spyro Reignited Trilogy remake, El Toros' horns are mostly brown tipped with red.

Attacks

El Toros are running back and forth in some areas of the town, but won't hesitate to gore Spyro with their horns if he gets in their way. Some El Toros can be found chasing around a Toreador, but if it notices Spyro, the El Toro chases after him instead, including if the Toreador has been defeated. Bulls can either be charged at or flamed. If Spyro charges them, they will land on their head and have their horns lodged into the ground until Spyro attacks them again. In the Spyro Reignited Trilogy remake, Spyro can earn a Skill Point by charging all the bulls and leaving them stuck upside down by their horns.

Trivia

  • In the NTSC and Japanese versions of the game, the bulls have red-tipped horns. In the PAL version, the red is removed. It was likely because the color red from the bull's horns is considered blood.
  • A bull is featured on the front cover of the game's box art.
