Machine Gunner

From the Spyro Wiki, the Spyro and Skylanders encyclopedia
Machine Gunner
World Twilight Harbor
First appearance Spyro the Dragon (1998)
Latest appearance Spyro Reignited Trilogy (2018)
Variant of Gnorc

Machine Gunners[1] are small gnorcs armed with machine guns. They only appear in Twilight Harbor, in Spyro the Dragon

Characteristics

Behavior

If Spyro steps too close to one of them, they will cock their weapons and fire a spray of bullets in his direction.

Tactics

Machine Gunners can be defeated with either a flame or a charge attack. It is usually best to wait until just after they fire, then advance to attack them.

Trivia

  • Their weapons seem to be based somewhat on the Thompson submachine gun in appearance.
  • In the original game, the Machine Gunners used the same sounds as the Foot Soldiers.
  • In the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, the Machine Gunners use harmful goo or chemicals as ammunition. When at rest, the guns produce toxic fumes, these however are harmless to Spyro. This was a creative choice by Toys For Bob to further match the realm of Gnasty's World, a mechanical junkyard filled with sludge and lava.[2]
